We’re out to redefine trust between people and businesses by enabling new perspectives on financial character.
Americans’ trust in each other is at an all-time low. Fraud and scams are at an all-time high. Nearly everyone feels powerless over what data is collected about themselves and how its used.
We reject this. We envision a society where trust in strangers is a given, transparency is by default, and privacy is respected. A society where corruption and fraud are rare. A society where people’s actions count more than who they’re perceived as.
We founded Cygnt to build this future.
Why us
We are financial industry insiders who have spent our careers building the financial technology underpinning modern society worldwide. We understand how financial data is increasingly available thanks to recent technological advances paired with changing regulations. While industry intentions are positive for consumers to control access to their own data, we fear data sharing will quickly devolve into opaque and catch-all agreements. We also believe most industry attempts to build and define ‘financial identities’ (or more broadly digital identities) are uninspired and short-sighted. At the same time, we also see an increasing need for safe, smart, and user-owned financial identities.
We understand the technology, the industry, and the problems. We breathe financial identity. We are obsessed with building something both you and we value.
